Casey Jacob

Raised in Huntsville, Casey has recently retired back to Muskoka after a long career working with various children’s services in York Region. Previously employed as a Program and Policy Analyst by the Ministry of Education - Early Years Division, and as a Director of Operations for a large non-profit child care operator, Casey is a passionate advocate for children, and is looking forward to making a positive contribution to Muskoka families through working with the CFM. Casey enjoys swimming, cooking, reading and skiing, and is a proud mom of two adult children.

Mark Janke
Vice Chair
Mark was born in Huntsville and now lives in Bracebridge with his wife and two kids. He has been an educator at TLDSB for the past 17 years. He enjoys time listening to music, cheering on the Raptors, making maple syrup and doing all things tech for the CFM.
Dan Gardiner

Dan first came to Muskoka for 1 year, back in 1998. Having sat on the board of various local endeavours, kids’ sports organizations and service clubs, Dan has a long history of community involvement. Dan joined the Muskoka Children’s Foundation to help ensure all kids in Muskoka have opportunities for success and enjoyment. Dan lives in Huntsville with his wife Stacy, their children Makaila, Ben & Ashley, pets and an ever increasing amount of local wildlife looking for handouts.

Jen lives in Huntsville and works at Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School. She enjoys spending time outside with her husband and her three-and-a-half year old daughter.
Derek Schofield
Board Member
Derek was born and raised in Gravenhurst and is currently a Special Education Resource Teacher at K.P. Manson Public School in Severn Bridge. He owns and operates Muskoka Summer Hockey School and enjoys music, sports and the outdoors.
Tina Rizzuto-Willan
Board Member
Volunteering is Tina's passion. Sitting on numerous boards and steering committees while raising her son Carter in Mississauga, Tina has contributed to the growth of baseball, hockey and tennis in that city.
An ECE, Tina spent over 15 years in the Early Childhood sector both teaching and governing co-op preschool education. Tina has spent more than 20 years as a citizen board member and advocate at
the GTAA on the CENAC Committee. Assisting in running her family's automotive business, she and her family have been supporters of CFM for many years. When Tina and her family lost her sister
Jodi McDaniel

Jodi, her husband and 2 daughters, moved to Bracebridge in 2019 prior to the pandemic. She’s really embraced the Muskoka lifestyle and partakes in many outdoor activities year round. She loves all the wildlife, growing her own fruits and vegetables and doing classes at The Hive. Jodi comes with 17 years of volunteer experience, from parent councils to hockey trainer. Jodi is excited to be able to be part of this Board and make a difference for Muskoka youth who may not otherwise have these extracurricular opportunities
Val Newlands
Board Member
Val grew up in Minett and now lives on Brandy Lake in Port Carling with her husband Geordie and their children Riley & Deacon. Val and Geordie run SWS Boatworks and Summer Water Sports, operating a marina, waterski schools and putting on waterski shows throughout Muskoka. She has a passion for sharing her love of outdoor activities, both summer and winter, with others in Muskoka, especially kids.
