Apply for Support

Applications for support are brought forward to the Board on the first Tuesday of every month.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, March 2, 2021

If possible, please complete applications by the previous Friday.

Things to Consider When Applying for Support

  • Professional references must accompany each application (examples of professional references include: teachers, doctors, social workers etc.)

      • Please note that the individual or organization receiving the funds can not act as a reference.

  • Please expect at least 4 weeks for processing applications.

  • The Foundation does not fund activities that have already started or are completed. Please submit applications well ahead of the start date of the activity.

  • Please make sure all information is filled out and that the contact information is up to date. Applications will not be processed that have missing information or if we are unable to contact the applicant.

  • The Children's Foundation of Muskoka reserves the right to request additional supporting financial documentation.

  • The Children's Foundation of Muskoka provides support for families with a total household income under $60,000. If your household income is slightly above $60,000, the board will consider your application on an individual basis. Please contact the Foundation via email if you find yourself in this situation before you apply for support.

CFM Education Fund

The Foundation with sponsorship from the Britton Family Trust will be providing $25,000 to five local post secondary students this fall in the form of bursaries.

In addition the Foundation is accepting applications for financial assistance to students in post secondary programs who have graduated from secondary schools in Muskoka. Many students have been waiting to decide what avenues to take due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However those decisions should be made by now and they should have a more clear idea of their financial need. The funds provided to the Foundation by the Onaway Pond Foundation will be available to students in financial need.
