The Muskoka Crushers Hockey tournament started with a group of ladies looking to accomplish two goals:
1) Create more opportunities for women’s hockey in Muskoka, and
2) Establish a recurring event that will raise funds for local community programs
Their inaugural year handily checked off both of these goals!
The hockey tournament hosted 12 female hockey teams from Muskoka and its surrounding areas, at the end of March 2023. It was a fabulous weekend, filled with women’s hockey, stiff competition and a whole lot of fun.
The tournament was also a “crushing” success with regards to the group’s charitable goal, raising a sizeable amount of money for the Children’s Foundation of Muskoka and Puck Support.
